An old piece of Berlin has returned – the Neue Nationalgalerie
After six years of being renovated, the famous building by Mies van der Rohe, is planned to reopen as the „Neue Nationalgalerie” (New National Gallery in the western part of Berlin) in August 2021. New masterpieces from the 20th century will be on display in conjunction with changing exhibitions. Additionally, there will be a special exhibition by the US artist Alexander Calder, who rose to world fame with his mobiles and hanging sculptures. His objects, the monumental sculptures and kinetic constructions, will be particularly emphasised by the proportions and vibrations in the large glass hall. The overall atmosphere makes a visit to the „Neue Nationalgalerie“ a very unique experience.
