100 Years of Greater Berlin
Modern Berlin began with a bang in 1920. The Prussian state parliament passed a new law which united 8 cities, 59 rural municipalities and 27 estate districts into Greater Berlin. Practically over night, the area of the city grew from 66 km2 to 878 km2, becoming the world’s third-largest city after New York and London.
The exhibitions to mark the anniversary of this are taking place this year, but we would be happy to put together a special programme for you to guide your participants through the fascinating history and the most interesting places.
