Documenta 15 – Kassel 2022
The world's most important exhibition series for contemporary art will be held in Kassel for the 15th time from June 18th to September 25th of this year. Every five years since 1955, Documenta has showcased the latest trends in contemporary art. Thereby, the art is presented all over the city of Kassel - inside as well as outside.
Originally the idea of the world art exhibition was developed by Werner Haftmann (art historian) and Arnold Bode (initiator), in order to present developments that have occured in contemporary art since the early 20th century, as they were not allowed to be shown during NS time.
